Field Trip is a virtual tour guide in
your pocket. You can configure it to sound a special alert when a point
of interest is nearby. When you're traveling down the highway, it can
alert you to historical markers nearby and give you the complete text of
that marker! You can even turn on settings that make the app read the
text to you in your phone's voice!
If you're walking around in a historic district, turn on Field Trip and up will pop info cards on the different items of historical interest as you walk by. Or, you can use the map view to navigate to some far away location and learn about the points of interest there.
